Besides a symbolic wedding ceremony in a church, a castle, or a vila, you will also need to attend the official civil ceremony if you get married in Slovenia. Originally we expected it to be something similar to the short and swift civil wedding ceremonies in Hong Kong, but the one in Bled that I experienced turned out to be surprisingly romantic.
The ceremony lasted for more than half an hour before signing the papers. Amidst soft music, the Lake, and the chirping sound of birds, the translators and officials explained to my fiance and I the meaning of a marriage and love with a couple. Below you can watch a part of the ceremony:
